Hello WHEW Youth!

 

I just wanted to drop you a line to say how impressed we all are with your wish to start a Youth Group for the WHEW Family Reunion.  As promised,  I am sending this e-mail to get things rolling about activities for the 2009 WHEW Reunion.  The next reunion will take place June 25 -28, 2009  in Atlanta,  GA.

 

Here are some of things you talked about at our brief meeting:

 

*Create a section of our family website dedicated just to the young people.

 

*Design and coordinate activities for young people according to age groups.
  Listed below are your suggestions for the 2009 Reunion:

 

Pajama Party

Amusement Park (Six Flags in Atlanta, GA)

Coca Cola Factory Tour

Aquarium

Water Park

Movies

Stone Mountain

Games - Girls vs. Boys

Kid's Night

 

Two adult family members have volunteered to serve as chaperones and to provide assistance- -

They are LaShunda Blanding Smith and Tonya Ahmed.

 

This information will be passed on to the Reunion Committee and they will be in touch with you by e-mail about the planned activities.

 

We encourage you to chat among yourselves and keep discussing the types of activities you would like to schedule.  A good place to start would be to research the different items listed above and figure out which ones you want to do first. 

 

I have created a  WHEW Youth Blog (an online journal) where you can write in your comments.  Just click on the "add new comments" and type away!  I will review the comments and then post them to the website.
